Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; high school graduation or equivalence required
- 3+ consecutive years of work in a clerical position in the insurance industry preferred if no bachelor's degree
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Extensive PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe)
- Working knowledge of self-funding, excess loss coverage and insurance products (Life, AD&D, STD, LTD)
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Detail oriented with ability to set and meet deadlines
- Ability to analyze and interpret benefit summary plan descriptions, insurance documents and regulations
Responsibilities
- Leads the implementation project for assigned new clients
- Leads weekly implementation calls, assigning topics to internal Subject Matter Experts, and facilitating forward progress
- Identifies areas needing ad-hoc meetings and project plans
- Collaborates with internal and external contacts to ensure task completion
- Prepares agendas for weekly calls
- Coordinate internal/external meetings and webinars
- Creates workflow and materials/communications for clients
- Assists customers, brokers, carriers and company personnel with questions regarding health benefit plan implementations
