Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; high school graduation or equivalence required
  • 3+ consecutive years of work in a clerical position in the insurance industry preferred if no bachelor's degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extensive PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe)
  • Working knowledge of self-funding, excess loss coverage and insurance products (Life, AD&D, STD, LTD)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Detail oriented with ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze and interpret benefit summary plan descriptions, insurance documents and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Leads the implementation project for assigned new clients
  • Leads weekly implementation calls, assigning topics to internal Subject Matter Experts, and facilitating forward progress
  • Identifies areas needing ad-hoc meetings and project plans
  • Collaborates with internal and external contacts to ensure task completion
  • Prepares agendas for weekly calls
  • Coordinate internal/external meetings and webinars
  • Creates workflow and materials/communications for clients
  • Assists customers, brokers, carriers and company personnel with questions regarding health benefit plan implementations
