Requirements
- 3+ years of professional PHP development experience in a production environment
- Demonstrated experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Strong MySQL skills (schema design, query optimization, indexing)
- Experience working within large, legacy codebases
- Familiarity with third-party SDK integration patterns
- Understanding of SOLID software engineering principles
- Familiarity with testing strategies and code review practices
- Experience with Git-based workflows
Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable, well-documented RESTful APIs consumed by internal teams and external customers at scale
- Navigate and extend a large, mature PHP monolith
- Identify and address technical debt in a principled way
- Integrate and maintain third-party SDKs and external services
- Write clean, testable code
- Collaborate closely with engineering peers and leads to review code
- Debug and resolve production issues across a complex, interconnected system
- Contribute to architectural discussions
