Requirements
- 8+ years of product management experience, including at least 3+ years in payroll, HRIS, or financial systems.
- Proven experience leading modernization or transformation initiatives in complex enterprise software environments.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, integrations, data flows, compliance frameworks, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into clear product direction and use cases.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience influencing stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working with customers directly to gather requirements and drive product adoption and satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving, metrics, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for HR, position control, and payroll capabilities across multiple enterprise education systems.
- Lead modernization initiatives, improving architecture, user experience, scalability, and cloud-readiness of payroll solutions.
- Engage directly with customers to gather insights, validate needs, and communicate roadmap progress and product updates.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, compliance, and cross-product teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality releases.
- Ensure payroll systems remain compliant with evolving U.S. payroll and employment regulations in partnership with compliance teams.
- Define KPIs, track product performance, and use data-driven insights to guide prioritization and decision-making.
- Act as a subject matter expert and internal advocate for payroll and HR product innovation.
