Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading and managing software teams.
- Experience managing multiple workstreams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Experience with REST APIs and Java/GoLang.
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL).
- Experience with container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Experience with modern automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with SaaS telemetry and observability tools (Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Experience operating services end-to-end from design to operational monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Flex Billing & Backend team of software engineers.
- Own and deliver delightful experiences for Twilio customers.
- Champion team members, setting individuals up for success and supporting their growth.
- Understand architecture and processes for always-available, complex, scalable distributed systems.
- Advocate agile processes, continuous integration, and test automation.
- Operate across broad scope, from conception through 24x7 service operation.
- Explain technical concepts to stakeholders including product managers and architects.
