Requirements
- BS or advanced degree in computer science or applicable experience.
- 12-15 years of software development experience, specifically with server-side applications, API servers, and data processing.
- Expertise in a compiled language such as Go, Java, or Kotlin.
- Proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL (schema design, SQL tuning).
- Experience designing and implementing scalable APIs.
- Solid understanding of design patterns, database design, and testing best practices.
- Working knowledge of GraphQL, CI/CD, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and accurately forecast delivery milestones.
- High-growth startup experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain back-end product features using Golang, JavaScript/Typescript, Node, GraphQL, and SQL.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical leads to produce high-quality, scalable software and services.
- Produce technical design documentation including scope and risk estimates.
- Apply software development best practices, design patterns, testing, and automation.
- Leverage AWS technologies (e.g., Lambda, Fargate) for job and batch processing.
- Perform production issue triages, impact assessment, and root cause analysis.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, including code reviews and design feedback.
- Work with leadership to define technical roadmaps.
