Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5 years experience, or 3 years post-secondary with 6 years experience.
- 5 years experience leading and managing high-performing data delivery or engineering teams.
- 5 years experience architecting, developing, and scaling complex data pipelines and enterprise-grade data warehouse solutions.
- 5 years experience with relational and non-relational databases, including advanced SQL proficiency.
- 5 years experience implementing version control in Linux-based environments (Git, infrastructure automation, CI/CD).
- 5 years experience designing and governing business KPIs and metrics.
- 5 years experience deploying automation solutions for pipeline reliability and monitoring.
- 5 years experience collaborating with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- 5 years experience operating within cloud-based data ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- 5 years experience leveraging modern ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Prefect).
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ETL engineers and data delivery specialists.
- Oversee workload management, performance reviews, and career development plans.
- Guide the design and delivery of scalable, automated ETL processes.
- Oversee integration of data from multiple sources into the enterprise data warehouse.
- Implement monitoring, validation, and proactive checks to ensure high data quality and uptime.
- Collaborate with business leaders to define and prioritize key metrics aligned to strategic objectives.
- Validate KPI outputs with BI and analytics teams.
- Serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Compliance.
- Oversee day-to-day data delivery operations, troubleshooting issues and maintaining SLAs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost efficiency, speed, and delivery quality.
