Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable, or related financial functions
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing multi-functional or multi-location teams
- Strong understanding of payroll and AP processes, internal controls, and financial compliance frameworks (SOX preferred)
- Proven ability to lead large-scale operational teams
- Experience with ERP systems, payroll platforms, vendor management systems, and financial reporting tools
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze financial data
- Demonstrated experience to AI, automation, or digital transformation in finance operations
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of approximately 21 professionals across Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Vendor Administration
- Oversee payroll operations for thousands of employees across multiple states
- Manage high-volume accounts payable operations
- Supervise vendor administration processes
- Drive automation and AI-enabled transformation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, tax requirements, and audit standards
- Partner closely with Finance, HR/Total Rewards, Legal, and other stakeholders
