Requirements

  • 7–10 years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or financial services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of credit policy, banking regulations, and loan documentation standards
  • Proven ability to analyze complex financial statements, tax returns, and credit risk profiles
  • Experience preparing credit memos, underwriting packages, and portfolio reporting materials
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for client and stakeholder interaction
  • High proficiency with internal banking systems and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end management of a commercial loan portfolio, including annual reviews, covenant monitoring, and collateral analysis
  • Oversee credit underwriting activities, including preparation of credit memos, financial spreads, and supporting documentation
  • Participate in client meetings, underwriting discussions, credit presentations, and loan closings
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate credit risks through detailed financial and qualitative analysis
  • Review and support loan documentation, including commitment letters and related legal materials
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to maintain appropriate portfolio risk levels and compliance with credit policies
  • Support cross-sell and business development initiatives alongside relationship managers and lenders
  • Mentor and guide credit analysts, portfolio managers, and other junior team members
