Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting systems, financial systems analysis, or revenue accounting operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and analyze large, multi-source datasets.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, preferably Workday Financials or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes, testing protocols, and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate business and accounting requirements into technical system specifications.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering and data teams.
  • Exposure to revenue recognition systems or subscription/billing platforms is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical and financial concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with accounting, finance, and engineering teams to support implementation, enhancement, and optimization of revenue and ERP systems.
  • Extract, analyze, and validate large datasets using advanced SQL to support reconciliation, reporting, and financial accuracy.
  • Translate accounting and revenue recognition requirements into scalable system solutions and process improvements.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), troubleshoot system issues, and support post-implementation stabilization efforts.
  • Build and automate workflows to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency, and strengthen financial data integrity.
  • Support month-end close activities, including automated journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
  • Maintain documentation of system processes, data flows, reporting logic, and internal controls.
  • Assist in audit and SOX compliance activities by preparing system-related documentation and supporting control frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve SDLC processes and ensure smooth deployment of financial systems changes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and improved system performance.
