Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing or a related finance/HR operations role.
- Solid understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and employee compensation structures.
- Experience using payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for reporting and reconciliation tasks.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with discretion.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across HR and Finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll cycles accurately and on time, ensuring all employee payments are correct and properly scheduled.
- Review and validate timesheets, bonuses, wages, deductions, benefits, and other payroll inputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure proper calculation and application of taxes, withholdings, garnishments, and other statutory or voluntary deductions.
- Maintain and update payroll records, employee data, and system entries in payroll platforms.
- Collaborate closely with HR on onboarding, terminations, compensation adjustments, and employee status changes.
- Reconcile payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently and accurately.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide timely, clear support regarding payroll matters.
- Support internal and external audits while ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable regulations.
- Manage direct deposits, benefits deductions, and garnishment processing.
- Assist with year-end activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting requirements.
