Requirements

- Demonstrated interest in law, public policy, or regulatory issues
- J.D. candidate, recent graduate, or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible language
- Self-directed work ethic
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to work remotely without significant daily oversight
- Willingness to travel sporadically
Responsibilities
- Track key court cases, including monitoring oral arguments and decisions
- Support the development and filing of amicus briefs
- Draft regular SCOTUS Snapshot updates and related legal content
- Track and analyze federal and state legal and regulatory developments
- Support the Law Center in drafting legal analyses, comment letters, and policy materials
- Conduct legal and policy research
- Assist in drafting blogs, memos, and backgrounders
- Help prepare materials for regulatory comments, litigation support, and legislative engagement
