Requirements
- 5+ years building production analytics systems on a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred).
- Deep SQL fluency (CTEs, window functions, INFORMATION_SCHEMA, exception handling).
- Demonstrated architectural ownership of a data governance layer.
- Production experience with a transformation framework (dbt, SQLMesh, or equivalent).
- Version control discipline (Git, code review, CI for SQL).
- Working understanding of BI and product analytics layers (Tableau, Looker, Mode, Mixpanel).
- Track record of mentoring and influencing peers.
- Strong written communication skills for design docs and schema documentation.
Responsibilities
- Power the AI Champion Program by enabling governed Snowflake access.
- Architect and own the governed Snowflake layer with materialization strategy and access boundaries.
- Define connection standards for AI agents and applications.
- Encode PII scrubbing and compliance as code within view logic.
- Publish comprehensive schema documentation for every view.
- Modernize analytics codebase by converting ad-hoc SQL into version-controlled, tested models.
- Support and maintain data contracts for Tableau and Mixpanel dashboards.
- Set technical direction and establish conventions for future data hires.
