Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go/Python.
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure: AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps.
- 3+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineers.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional distributed teams of 6+ people.
- Experience with Postgres/MySQL.
- Experience with Nats/Kafka and event-driven architectures.
- Experience operating Kubernetes clusters at scale (1000+ nodes, 30k+ pods).
- Experience designing and operating systems that extend Kubernetes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead a distributed team of 6-8 engineers across multiple timezones.
- Drive technical vision and roadmap for the Giger developer sandbox platform.
- Maintain platform stability and own the control plane and underlying infrastructure.
- Perform hands-on architecture reviews and coding.
- Mentor team members and manage professional growth/performance cycles.
- Innovate on sandbox infrastructure, including resource utilization and observability.
- Represent the team in cross-functional collaboration with DevOps, DBA, and InfoSec.
- Manage on-call shifts and provide technical support.
