Requirements
- PhD in related field (Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Public Policy) with 3+ years experience OR Master’s degree with 7+ years experience.
- Expertise in youth development, specifically in out-of-school-time (OST) contexts.
- Experience conducting research or evaluation in contract research settings.
- Proven ability to serve as a Project Director (PD) managing budgets, timelines, staff, and clients.
- Strong grounding in implementation science.
- Experience with data collection (structured interviews, observations, surveys).
- Experience with analytic software (STATA, R, Excel, NVivo, Access).
- Experience with business pursuit and proposal writing.
- Strong communication and synthesis skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day project operations in roles such as principal investigator, project director, or task lead.
- Lead collaborative project teams by developing timelines, coordinating staff assignments, and ensuring deliverables are completed.
- Identify research problems and design studies including methodologies and analytic plans.
- Lead and contribute to research proposals for federal, state, and foundation clients.
- Oversee data collection activities including interviews, observations, and focus groups.
- Conduct or oversee data analysis and interpret findings.
- Prepare reports, briefs, and visualizations for clients and stakeholders.
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships professionally.
