Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in employee benefits financial consulting, underwriting, or actuarial-related roles
- Proven track record supporting enterprise or jumbo group clients (3,000+ lives)
- Demonstrated expertise in underwriting, financial modeling, and healthcare cost analysis
- Deep knowledge of self-funded and alternative funding strategies
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling tools
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field preferred)
- Life & Health License required
- Ability to independently build and own complex financial models and underwriting analysis
- Strong ability to translate complex data into strategic, executive-level insights
- Actuarial coursework or designations preferred
Responsibilities
- Personally develop and produce financial models, underwriting analysis, and reporting for complex clients
- Lead financial strategy while owning the underlying analysis, assumptions, and outputs
- Build and maintain detailed financial models including renewal projections, claims trend analysis, and IBNR evaluation
- Analyze claims, utilization, and cost drivers to identify risks and cost containment opportunities
- Develop and deliver client-ready financial exhibits and reporting for renewals and stewardship meetings
- Serve as the financial subject matter expert for assigned clients
- Lead financial components of the renewal process and support negotiation strategy
- Partner with Producers to support new business and organic growth opportunities
- Mentor and support Financial Analysts and junior team members
- Contribute to best practices and standardization across the financial consulting function
