Requirements
- 8-12 years of related experience or Master's with 6 years, or 12-15 years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated progressive responsibility in strategic procurement and supplier negotiation.
- Experience in contract management and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Experience with procurement & inventory related ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Financial analysis skills including cost/price analysis and time value of money.
- Ability to analyze technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute supply strategies including qualification of alternative materials.
- Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and oversee the proposal process.
- Perform price analyses and Should Cost modeling.
- Develop cost targets and negotiation strategies.
- Draft and manage contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Analyze market trends and recommend action plans.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics.
- Partner with Finance and Plant Procurement to resolve pricing discrepancies.
- Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement programs.
- Mentor and provide guidance to staff.
