Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Associate +2 years, or 4 years relevant experience)
- 8+ years of cloud engineering experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure components
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications (Preferred: VCP-CMA, VCP-DCV; Minimum: AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect)
- Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret security clearance prior to starting
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based computing solutions and infrastructure for CASTLE-NET projects
- Ensuring high availability, reliability, optimized performance, and robust security of cloud-based applications
- Focusing on vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and vRealize Suite to manage virtualized environments
- Managing VMware Cloud Foundation, Private Cloud to Public Cloud migration, and hybrid cloud networking (HCX)
- Collaborating with project teams, stakeholders, and IT leadership for seamless integration
- Delivering world-class IT services and dependable customer support
- Exceeding expectations of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) OCIO/G-6 IT end-users
- Delivering solutions and strengthening the IT foundation with secure and modernized technologies
