Requirements

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing for multiple platforms and audiences (web, print, social, campaign).
  • Experience in developing content that aligns with brand voice, tone, and strategic objectives.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian English grammar, spelling, and style.
  • Proven ability to work independently while also contributing meaningfully in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Press style (asset).
  • Experience in international development or global missions (asset).
  • Experience working within a faith-based, non-profit, or ministry context (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Develop written content to support various marketing needs that align with strategic goals.
  • Walk narrative content from the idea stage and deliver to market in multiple styles across multiple channels.
  • Work with managers to develop a portfolio of focused content and identify internal groups to support.
  • Edit and proofread content for the organization.
  • Ensure all written communications adhere to organization guidelines, tone, and Canada Press style.
  • Participate in and contribute to team meetings and creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Provide input and advice to internal groups to maximize storytelling and marketing potential.
