Requirements
- Experience in QA Automation or Software Testing roles with focus on backend systems
- Strong knowledge of API testing and messaging-based architectures (SQS, SNS, Kafka)
- Experience with test automation frameworks using .NET, Mockito, or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Rest Assured
- Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing practices
- Understanding of testing methodologies including regression, end-to-end, and mutation testing
- Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Familiarity with Docker and/or Podman and local development environments (e.g., LocalStack)
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and team collaboration practices
- Exposure to AI tools or AI-assisted development/testing workflows is required
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute manual and automated tests for backend applications (APIs and messaging systems)
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks and tools
- Validate systems using messaging technologies such as SQS, SNS, and Kafka
- Define and apply testing strategies based on the testing pyramid model
- Perform performance testing using tools such as JMeter
- Ensure continuous testing integration within CI/CD pipelines
- Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and root cause analysis within agile squads
- Collaborate on user story refinement, ensuring clear functional and non-functional requirements
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and execution
- Support end-to-end, regression, and mutation testing strategies
