Requirements
- Experience in data protection, privacy, regulatory compliance, or legal operations.
- Practical exposure to UK/EU GDPR, privacy rights requests, and compliance documentation.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Legal, Security, and Operations teams.
- Post-secondary education in law, business, compliance, or related field.
- Comfort working in a high-growth technology environment.
- Sound judgment handling sensitive information and identifying risk.
Responsibilities
- Support Certn’s UK and EMEA privacy compliance activities under UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
- Manage end-to-end data subject access requests and privacy rights requests.
- Maintain privacy documentation including ROPAs, DPIAs, and cross-border transfer records.
- Coordinate compliance responses for data processor activities.
- Support criminal record disclosure compliance framework (DBS, Disclosure Scotland, AccessNI).
- Provide compliance advisory support to clients regarding data handling and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in data incident and breach assessment activities.
- Develop and deliver internal privacy and compliance training.
- Support external audits including ISO 27001 and ISO 9001.
