Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in processing payroll for a multi-state organization
- Advanced skills in Excel including Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, and importing and exporting data
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance laws and policies
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Strong and professional interpersonal skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office 365
- Access to reliable and secure internet
Responsibilities
- Assist in full cycle accounting - journal entries, month end close
- Process semi-monthly and weekly payroll for multiple entities
- Compute monthly and quarterly bonuses for multiple entities
- Compile all payroll data ensuring deductions for benefits, taxes, garnishments, etc
- Process involuntary deductions such as: child support orders, garnishments and tax levies
- Resolve or escalate payroll issues to ensure timely processing and verify compliance
- Prepare, generate and print checks and direct deposit advice
- Scan, file and maintain all payroll documentation and employees’ payroll records
- Create, develop, and update payroll training materials, presentations, and literature
- Maintain PTO policies, balances, accruals, and assist in PTO audits
