Requirements
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, with significant experience leading institutional giving.
- Demonstrated success in building and stewarding relationships with foundation program officers and trustees.
- Track record of securing 6- and 7-figure gifts.
- Strong strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and building cultivation plans.
- Deep familiarity with fundraising operations including pipeline management.
- Comfort with data, forecasting, and CRM systems (Salesforce and Notion experience strongly preferred).
- Demonstrated executive presence with ability to communicate complex information to senior leadership.
- Experience in education philanthropy or K-12 education reform (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Hold primary responsibility for fundraising strategy across 2–3 assigned portfolio areas.
- Translate portfolio strategy into clear, compelling funder strategies.
- Own senior funder relationships, including cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and renewal.
- Act as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders and portfolio heads.
- Co-create and provide feedback on written funding materials such as concept notes, proposals, and reports.
- Ensure high-quality pipeline hygiene and accurate revenue forecasting.
- Maintain up-to-date information in Salesforce/CRM.
- Proactively identify and pursue new funding opportunities.
