Requirements

  • Proven experience as a stylized Environment Artist on high-quality mobile game projects.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating lighting, composition, and environment art fundamentals.
  • Proficiency with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity or proprietary).
  • Solid understanding of lighting theory, color, exposure, and real-time rendering.
  • Experience with PBR workflows and optimization for real-time environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
  • Experience with lighting tools, profiling/debugging, or scripting for workflow automation.

Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality environment art with emphasis on lighting, mood, and atmosphere.
  • Build, iterate, and optimise lighting setups supporting gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.
  • Collaborate with art direction, level design, and tech art for spatial readability and performance.
  • Author and maintain lighting passes, post-processing profiles, and environment shaders/materials.
  • Troubleshoot lighting issues related to performance, consistency, or technical constraints.
  • Contribute to visual benchmarks and establish best practices for lighting workflows.
