Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in frontend development with React
- Convex experience is required — understanding real-time data layer, mutations, and queries
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Context API, or similar)
- Actively uses Claude Code and AI tooling
- Strong opinions about product and architecture
- Fullstack capability — able to navigate and contribute to backend code
- Background job awareness in UI
- Clear communicator who thrives in small, collaborative teams
- Available to start immediately and commit full-time
Responsibilities
- Build and ship a production-ready React frontend on a tight timeline
- Work within a React + Convex stack — leveraging Convex's real-time, reactive architecture
- Integrate frontend components with existing backend APIs and Convex functions
- Collaborate closely with the backend developer to align on data contracts
- Translate product requirements and UI/UX specs into clean, functional interfaces
- Actively use Claude Code and AI-assisted development workflows
- Contribute product thinking: flag UX gaps, suggest better data models
- Ensure responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and solid performance
- Participate in daily standups and contribute to sprint planning
- Write maintainable, well-structured code with appropriate test coverage
