Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., public health, epidemiology, informatics, statistics).
- At least 5 years of experience in infectious disease surveillance and analytics.
- Demonstrated experience designing, producing, and implementing end-to-end public health information products.
- Proficiency in R and R Markdown/Quarto for data management, analysis, and report generation.
- Experience providing technical accompaniment and mentoring multidisciplinary teams in LMICs.
- Ability to build capacity for local ownership of analytical workflows.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and distributed environment.
- Familiarity with DHIS2 (advantageous).
- Proficiency in French or Portuguese (highly desirable).
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative data use products such as outbreak situation reports, epidemiological bulletins, and executive dashboards.
- Implement automated production pipelines for data use products.
- Create comprehensive documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide technical accompaniment and mentorship for data use capstone projects.
- Conduct capacity building and knowledge transfer for in-country teams.
- Train teams on digital tools including DHIS2, Emergency Management System, R, and R Markdown/Quarto.
