Requirements
- 5+ years of full-time experience in risk management within a fintech company.
- Experience with industry fraud prevention tools and technologies.
- Experience building and scaling technical risk operations in a high-growth environment.
- Strong intuition for balancing automation, controls, and customer experience.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership passion for developing high-performing teams.
- Strong collaboration skills with technical teams (engineering, data, and product).
- Proven experience promoting a data-driven culture.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team responsible for protecting Shakepay's platform and customers against fraud, abuse, and financial risk.
- Manage fraud operations workload, team capacity, and roadmap planning.
- Collaborate with data science to develop scalable detection systems and experimentation frameworks.
- Implement effective risk management strategies balancing customer friction with fraud detection.
- Partner with product teams to integrate fraud and risk controls into product launches.
- Drive the risk management technology strategy alongside engineering.
- Develop comprehensive fraud intelligence reports to drive operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures.
- Scale fraud operations by breaking down silos across financial products.
- Oversee vendor relationship management.
