Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience drafting residential construction documents in AutoCAD
- Strong AutoCAD drafting skills for residential construction documents
- Proven ability to independently develop basic residential structural layouts and perform structural load path sizing
- Experience producing electrical and plumbing riser diagrams for residential projects
- Experience producing residential drawing set components
- Knowledge of New York State residential building code
- Experience coordinating day-to-day with US-based architects, engineers, and project managers
- English proficiency at CEFR C1 level (spoken and written)
- Portfolio or work samples of residential drafting/construction document work
- Ability to provide details of equipment setup, power backup, and internet connection
Responsibilities
- Draft and produce residential construction documents in AutoCAD, including plans, sections, and fully dimensioned drawings
- Develop structural layouts and perform basic structural path sizing for residential buildings
- Prepare electrical and plumbing riser diagrams
- Create and maintain drawing annotations and tags
- Develop footing details, window schedules, and door schedules
- Incorporate redlines and revisions
- Ensure drawing set completeness and consistency
- Coordinate deliverables to align with New York State residential building code requirements
