Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in community-scale solar PV and energy storage engineering, construction, and commissioning.
  • Extensive knowledge of battery energy storage system design and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code, International Fire Code, and other relevant building codes.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC electrical design and equipment.
  • Knowledge of utility distribution requirements, equipment, and design.
  • Working knowledge of PVsyst and system performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of solar and electrical commissioning and testing standards (e.g., IETA).
  • Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of project quality control standards, processes, and tools.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to address technical issues.
  • Review and analyze engineering plan sets, equipment submittals, and technical specifications.
  • Identify lessons learned and value engineering opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal project management teams to support project diligence.
  • Review and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Collaborate with Owner’s Engineers and Independent Engineers.
  • Conduct on-site and remote inspections on construction sites and operational assets.
  • Assist the Operations and Maintenance team in reviewing production data and troubleshooting.
