Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in community-scale solar PV and energy storage engineering, construction, and commissioning.
- Extensive knowledge of battery energy storage system design and commissioning.
- Knowledge of National Electric Code, International Fire Code, and other relevant building codes.
- Knowledge of AC and DC electrical design and equipment.
- Knowledge of utility distribution requirements, equipment, and design.
- Working knowledge of PVsyst and system performance analysis.
- Knowledge of solar and electrical commissioning and testing standards (e.g., IETA).
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing programs.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project quality control standards, processes, and tools.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to address technical issues.
- Review and analyze engineering plan sets, equipment submittals, and technical specifications.
- Identify lessons learned and value engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal project management teams to support project diligence.
- Review and respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFI).
- Collaborate with Owner’s Engineers and Independent Engineers.
- Conduct on-site and remote inspections on construction sites and operational assets.
- Assist the Operations and Maintenance team in reviewing production data and troubleshooting.
