Requirements
- A broad track record of project deliveries and successfully shipping software systems.
- 3+ years of experience with Java and an understanding of backend architecture.
- Professional experience incorporating AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Gemini, Cursor, Claude Code) into your engineering workflow.
- Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL/Vitess and SQLite.
- Experience with observability tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
- Experience with data formats: JSON, XML.
- Comfort working in a cross-platform environment (Mac, Linux, Windows).
- A strong desire to learn and adapt to rapidly changing technologies and tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop highly scalable, performant services and APIs in a Java ecosystem.
- Integrate AI coding agents and frameworks into your workflow to accelerate development, refactor legacy components, and improve code quality.
- Collaborate on the full technical lifecycle, including estimation, design, development, and delivery.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure project success.
- Engage with QA, Data Centers, Marketing, Product Management, Support, Legal/Compliance, and Security.
- Diagnose complex issues and maintain the stability of large-scale production systems.
- Collaborate across functional teams and provide technical leadership to foster engineering excellence.
