Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3-7 years of experience in performance engineering or APM.
- Strong development background in Node.js and Python.
- Deep experience with serverless architecture.
- Proficiency with Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Experience analyzing application performance metrics and system telemetry.
- Ability to decipher code for troubleshooting in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments, specifically AWS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with monitoring and log analysis platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain AWS Lambda services using Node.js and Python.
- Implement and lead AWS ADOT-based instrumentation for Lambda workloads.
- Develop GitHub Actions pipelines for standardizing CDK Lambda constructs and telemetry.
- Develop correlation ID and trace propagation strategies across distributed services.
- Enforce observability practices including PII-safe structured logging.
- Build automated tests to verify instrumentation, trace/log/metric arrival, and alert validation.
- Tune Lambda configurations to balance observability overhead, reliability, and cost.
- Modernize legacy Lambda implementations to common standards.
- Investigate performance incidents and identify root causes.
- Provide optimization recommendations to development teams.
