Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-7 years of experience in performance engineering or APM.
  • Strong development background in Node.js and Python.
  • Deep experience with serverless architecture.
  • Proficiency with Dynatrace and Splunk.
  • Experience analyzing application performance metrics and system telemetry.
  • Ability to decipher code for troubleshooting in distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments, specifically AWS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with monitoring and log analysis platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain AWS Lambda services using Node.js and Python.
  • Implement and lead AWS ADOT-based instrumentation for Lambda workloads.
  • Develop GitHub Actions pipelines for standardizing CDK Lambda constructs and telemetry.
  • Develop correlation ID and trace propagation strategies across distributed services.
  • Enforce observability practices including PII-safe structured logging.
  • Build automated tests to verify instrumentation, trace/log/metric arrival, and alert validation.
  • Tune Lambda configurations to balance observability overhead, reliability, and cost.
  • Modernize legacy Lambda implementations to common standards.
  • Investigate performance incidents and identify root causes.
  • Provide optimization recommendations to development teams.
