Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on Oracle database administration experience in a 24x7 environment.
- Software development experience with Java, React, Typescript, Python, Node, or Go.
- Experience with full database lifecycle management: upgrades, patching, cloning, backups, and recovery.
- Experience creating and maintaining an enterprise data dictionary.
- Experience with ETL processes.
- Understanding of Unix operating systems.
- Knowledge of AWS, Jenkins, Ansible, MySQL, or Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
- Ability to write, profile, and optimize SQL queries.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Application Development teams to provide database guidance, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Perform standard DBA duties such as monitoring availability, backups, and user access management.
- Document the database environment including application/database dependencies and data mappings.
- Conduct DDL and application code reviews related to database functionality.
- Design and implement database-dependent applications with a focus on migration downtime and resiliency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across database and application tiers in real time.
- Collaborate with L1/L2/L3 support teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
