Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on security operations or detection engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered security workflows in production.
- Deep AWS experience including CloudTrail, IAM, and GuardDuty.
- Identity-centric security expertise including Okta, SSO, and OAuth.
- Proven experience owning the architecture and deployment of a detection platform end-to-end.
- Experience building detection pipeline quality frameworks and measurement processes.
- Capability to design and implement incident response processes from scratch.
- Strong skills in writing production-grade, maintainable, and observable code.
- Purple team orientation with hands-on threat hunting and investigation experience.
- Strong technical communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and executive briefings.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for detection and response including platform, architecture, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Build and mature the security observability platform across infrastructure, identity, endpoint, SaaS, and AI-native systems.
- Deploy AI agents for triage, correlation, enrichment, and autonomous action on lower-criticality events.
- Build AI-centered detection and response workflows with automated content testing and improvement.
- Drive continuous validation of detection effectiveness and maintain precision metrics.
- Own end-to-end incident response, including strategy, playbooks, and high-severity event leadership.
- Make detection and response a design-time concern across Engineering, GRC, and Legal.
- Lead, develop, and represent the team through code review, coaching, and external engagement.
