Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of business development and sales experience in utilities.
- Strong knowledge of utility trends, challenges, and regulatory landscape.
- Proven success meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing accounts.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) and comfort with reporting/forecasting; willingness to travel frequently.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new utility-sector opportunities (electric, gas, water).
- Build and execute business development strategies to exceed targets.
- Develop trusted relationships with utility executives and key stakeholders.
- Lead the full sales cycle from discovery to negotiation and close.
- Partner with engineering, product, marketing, and legal to shape solutions.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Present proposals, updates, and insights to customers and internal teams.
- Represent the organization at industry events to build pipeline and brand.
