Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in New Jersey (required).
- Demonstrated litigation experience, including discovery, trial preparation, and courtroom proceedings.
- Strong research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with billable hour requirements and timekeeping practices
Responsibilities
- Manage the litigation process from investigation and discovery through trial preparation and court proceedings.
- Represent clients in depositions, site inspections, hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
- Research and analyze applicable laws to develop effective legal strategies and communicate findings to claims representatives and insured clients.
- Draft and present clear, well-reasoned legal opinions, pleadings, motions, and other documents.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with claims representatives, insured clients, and internal departments.
- Conduct training sessions for Legal, Claims, or other business units as needed.
- Track and record billable hours accurately and efficiently.
- Independently manage a caseload with little to no supervision.
