Requirements
- 1+ year of commercial experience in a data catalog, data governance, data stewardship, or closely related role.
- Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise data catalog platform - Atlan, Alation, Collibra, IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog, or equivalent.
- Solid SQL skills - comfortable querying, validating, and exploring data across different environments.
- Familiarity with low-code workflow logic within governance or catalog tools.
- Self-sufficient and reliable - able to navigate unfamiliar platforms quickly, identify what's needed, and engage the right people without hand-holding.
- A quick learner with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Fluent English - our daily working language with international clients and teams.
Responsibilities
- Administering and configuring data catalog platforms (Atlan, Alation, Collibra, IBM Watson Knowledge Catalog, or similar) to support data governance initiatives across client environments.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of data governance and data stewardship workflows, including ownership assignment, metadata management, and policy enforcement.
- Navigating the data catalog platform independently - understanding what's happening across datasets, identifying gaps, and coordinating with the right teams to resolve issues.
- Writing and executing SQL queries to support data validation, lineage checks, and governance reporting tasks.
- Building and maintaining low-code workflow logic within catalog or governance platforms to automate stewardship processes.
- Staying up to date with agentic AI technologies and their emerging role in data governance and catalog automation.
- Collaborating with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure data assets are well-documented, discoverable, and trusted.
