Requirements

  • 4–5 years of video editing experience, preferably with fast-paced, high-volume social media content
  • Strong experience editing for TikTok, Instagram, or similar vertical video platforms
  • Access to an Apple Silicon-based computer, such as an M1 or M2 device
  • Proficiency in at least one professional editing platform: DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro
  • Strong typography and motion design skills
  • Ability to create dynamic text animation and engaging motion effects
  • Experience with color correction, including white balance, exposure, contrast, and saturation
  • Strong audio balancing skills
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Ability to follow creative briefs and meet deadlines consistently
  • Strong experience with DaVinci Resolve (nice-to-have)
  • A track record of creating viral content for TikTok or Instagram (nice-to-have)
  • Background as a social media producer, content creator, vertical video editor, or hands-on social media manager (nice-to-have)
  • Experience working in a creative agency or production environment (nice-to-have)
  • Business casual attire for meetings

Responsibilities

  • Edit a high volume of engaging, mobile-first video content for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.
  • Add text overlays that support clear visual communication.
  • Integrate voiceovers smoothly into videos.
  • Follow scripts, shot lists, and creative direction.
  • Produce content that aligns with the client’s brand and creative standards.
  • Maintain strong typography placement and visual consistency.
  • Apply motion design techniques that make content more engaging.
  • Perform color correction, including white balance, contrast, exposure, and saturation adjustments.
  • Balance audio levels for a professional final product.
  • Ensure each video is polished, cohesive, and aligned with the creative brief.
  • Follow the client’s file, folder, and project organization systems.
  • Use ClickUp to track tasks, deadlines, and content assignments.
  • Manage assets and documents in an organized way.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
  • Maintain an efficient editing pipeline.
  • Monitor trends on TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms.
  • Apply relevant trend insights to video content.
  • Understand what makes short-form video perform well.
  • Help the team create content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Communicate clearly with team members.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Post-Production and Video Creator team.
  • Support a culture of generosity, openness, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute ideas that improve workflow, quality, and creative output.
