Three (3) years’ experience in auto finance, preferably in sub-prime auto financing preferred Five (5) years’ sales experience within the auto industry preferred

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in auto finance (sub-prime preferred)
  • 5+ years’ sales experience within the auto industry
  • Knowledge of assigned territory market with existing customer relationships
  • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and internet
  • Ability to quickly learn new computer applications
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a team
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to operate from a home office
  • Ability to travel extensively (75% of the time, including overnight and extended hours)

Responsibilities

  • Increase sales in the designated Mid-Atlantic region (MD, NC, SC, VA and WV)
  • Develop, support, and coach Area Sales Managers and Independent Sales Agents
  • Establish key business initiatives with measurable goals and milestones
  • Make new dealer visits or cold calls and take inbound calls from dealerships
  • Recruit and train new Area Sales Managers
  • Introduce new and acquired businesses to company procedures and appropriate personnel
  • Establish goals for Area Sales Managers; provide coaching and support
  • Communicate expectations and hold Area Sales Managers accountable for meeting financial goals and performance metrics
  • Perform coaching, servicing, and support functions with GLS Agency partners
  • Maintain electronic records and files
