  • Active insurance producer license (Delaware required; multi-state preferred).
  • Eligibility to serve as Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP).
  • Strong understanding of state insurance regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in insurance distribution, producer oversight, and carrier relationships.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational policies and controls.
  • Strong analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills in dynamic environments.
  • Experience in fintech, embedded insurance, or multi-state distribution models is a plus.
  • Prior DRLP or equivalent responsible compliance leadership experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) for the Delaware-licensed insurance agency and maintain required producer licenses.
  • Provide regulatory oversight and accountability for all insurance activities under the agency license.
  • Ensure compliance with state insurance laws, regulations, and Department of Insurance (DOI) guidance.
  • Support regulatory change management and ensure timely implementation of new requirements.
  • Provide compliance advisory support for insurance product design, distribution, and marketing practices.
  • Review producer activities, disclosures, and sales practices to identify and mitigate compliance risk.
  • Develop and monitor compliance KPIs and KRIs to track risk exposure and operational performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify control gaps across insurance operations.
  • Build and maintain insurance policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
  • Oversee producer licensing, appointments, renewals, and supervision frameworks across states.
  • Support audits, regulatory examinations, and internal compliance reviews.
  • Assist in enhancing the compliance management system (CMS), including complaints and issue management processes.
