- At least 7 years
Requirements
- At least 7 years of writing in a digital newsroom.
- Experience in business journalism (preferred).
- Experience with health and science journalism (plus).
- First-rate writing skills.
- Ability to write clean, compelling storylines in a smart, clear, authoritative and original voice.
- Deadline- and detail-oriented.
- Willing to fact-check as needed.
- Familiarity working with data sets (surveys, publicly available information, data from Centers For Medicare & Medicaid Services).
- Enthusiastic about working on a wide range of subjects.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
- Engaging interpersonal skills – collaborative, kind and communicative.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate Statista lists to identify industry trends and potentially problematic companies that may need to be removed from a list due to alleged misconduct.
- Report and write features and, in some instances, list “landers” for Statista projects/rankings.
- Produce compelling introductions, articles and other content for the site.
- Fact-check your work.
- Source photos from featured companies along with photo credits and possible captions.
- Build articles in Forbes’ content management system—which would include placing photos and inputting keywords and links where appropriate.
- Handle some correspondence relating to Statista lists and relay to Forbes any changes and updates to company profiles requested by companies.
- Contribute to research, reporting and writing involving our Top Hospitals list (if time permits).
