Requirements

  • Proven experience defining and implementing test strategies across multiple projects
  • Strong background in retail and/or eCommerce delivery environments
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating at both senior/strategic and detailed delivery levels
  • Strong understanding of modern SDLCs, delivery models, and testing practices
  • Awareness of evolving testing techniques, tools, and technology trends
  • Ability to work autonomously with accountability for outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver testing strategy and execution across complex client engagements
  • Balance quality, delivery, and commercial considerations within managed services and project delivery
  • Act as a trusted testing lead for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and develop Spike consultants across projects
  • Contribute to Spike’s sales, marketing, and service development activities
  • Define and implement test strategies, processes, techniques, and approaches across varied delivery models
  • Lead delivery of small to medium test programmes across multiple workstreams, vendors, and technologies
  • Own test organisation, tooling, infrastructure, environments, and test data strategy
  • Ensure appropriate balance between delivery quality and commercial effectiveness
  • Provide delivery assurance and support Spike quality reviews across active programmes
  • Operate effectively across both strategic planning and detailed execution levels
  • Produce and own test estimates, strategies, and delivery approaches for proposals and client engagements
  • Support the Spike sales team through pre‑sales conversations, solution shaping, and bid input
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with client stakeholders
  • Help position Spike’s quality and testing services effectively with existing and prospective clients
  • Support marketing activity by contributing content, case material, and service positioning
  • Lead, coach, and mentor Spike consultants across client projects
  • Support the development of Test Leads and less experienced consultants
  • Promote consistent quality standards, professionalism, and best practice
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing, methods, and continuous improvement within the Quality Management practice
  • Demonstrate Spike values through behaviour, decision‑making, and client interactions
