Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional programs in a technical organization
  • Background in developer experience, developer productivity, engineering effectiveness, internal platform programs, or technical program management
  • Familiarity with AI-accelerated development workflows
  • Understanding of tools, adoption patterns, and measurement challenges in AI-accelerated development
  • Working familiarity with developer productivity and developer experience measurement frameworks (DORA, SPACE, DX Core 4, or similar)
  • Ability to design evaluation frameworks
  • Ability to structure pilots
  • Ability to turn mixed quantitative and qualitative inputs into clear recommendations
  • Strong judgment in ambiguous environments
  • Comfort partnering with engineering teams and technical leaders
  • Experience coordinating across partner functions such as Security, IT, Finance, or Procurement
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-ready recommendations

Responsibilities

  • Translate developer experience signals into program priorities.
  • Synthesize tooling data, measurement outputs, pilot results, and developer feedback into actionable insights.
  • Bring insights into portfolio planning, measurement reviews, and roadmap conversations with partner teams.
  • Turn insights into clear recommendations on where to invest, expand, rationalize, or retire tools and related programs.
  • Lead the developer experience measurement program.
  • Own the day-to-day program leadership for 1Password’s developer experience measurement platform.
  • Partner with Platform Engineering on metrics platform priorities, instrumentation, and data integrity.
  • Build the operating mechanisms that make developer experience and tooling data useful for decision-making.
  • Support investment and portfolio decisions with adoption reporting, usage analysis, and impact-oriented recommendations.
  • Evolve the measurement model as software delivery changes, especially for AI-native work.
  • Run developer tooling evaluation, pilots, and portfolio governance.
  • Own intake, prioritization, and evaluation workflows for developer tools across the SDLC, with a near-term focus on AI tooling.
  • Maintain evaluation frameworks, decision criteria, and review mechanisms for new tools.
  • Design and run structured pilots with clear hypotheses, baselines, success criteria, and decision points.
  • Coordinate security review, integration approval, and related governance.
  • Partner with IT, Finance, and Procurement on provisioning, licensing, renewals, and cost visibility.
