Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Experience with data structures
- Experience with algorithms
- Experience with compilers
- Experience with Makefiles
- Experience with toolchains
- Expertise with containers
- Expertise with container registries
- Expertise with Docker
- Expertise with Kubernetes and its greater ecosystem
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code
- Proficiency in creating modules and organizing resources logically for reuse (Infrastructure as Code)
- Experience writing services or tools in Go
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to seek help proactively when necessary
Responsibilities
- Develop new features for customers as part of the Containers team
- Build and improve tooling and infrastructure for the core product
- Maintain product quality standards for Chainguard Images
- Collaborate closely with team members
- Guide technical decisions
- Promote a culture of excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative services and features
- Develop robust tools and services to improve the image build system as it scales
