Requirements
- 6+ years building production-ready frontend code in complex, component-driven applications
- Deep expertise in TypeScript
- Deep expertise in React
- Deep expertise in modern CSS (Tailwind)
- Strong opinions about component architecture, performance, and maintainability
- Portfolio or body of work demonstrating technical depth and design sensibility
- Proven experience building and maintaining design systems in production
- Familiarity with Base UI
- Familiarity with Storybook
- Familiarity with Figma Code Connect
- Exposure to microfrontend architectures
- Exposure to Vite
- Exposure to composition APIs
- Track record of building internal tools, developer experience improvements, or workflow automation
- Technical fluency with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor)
- Familiarity with MCPs and how tools like Figma, Figma Console, and Notion connect into AI-assisted workflows
Responsibilities
- Own the integrity of the design system across both Figma and code.
- Ensure the design system library stays in sync with what's in production.
- Partner with product designers to evolve the design system over time.
- Close the gap between design specs and production reality.
- Ensure UI quality across the product, including transitions, micro-interactions, responsive behavior, loading states, edge case UI, and accessibility.
- Build tools and processes that make design and engineering teams collaborate, prototype, and ship better.
- Ship production-ready code, including design system components, UI improvements, or internal tooling.
- Partner closely with product designers, taking rough directions and making them real with high craft.
- Work directly with frontend and full-stack engineers to establish patterns and components, review UI implementations, and raise the standard for "done" in the codebase.
