Requirements
- Ability to write well-structured and tested code in more than one high-level programming language (Python, Golang, Java, Ruby)
- Proficiency in Javascript or Typescript
- Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable architecture
- Experience with reliable REST APIs
- Experience with software in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Understanding of architectural patterns for cloud environments
- Good understanding of more than one document-based or relational database technology (MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Ability to write high-quality, understandable, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Ability to guide other engineers via code reviews
- Good problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide in-depth evaluations and analyses of unique and complex technological issues
- Track record of designing, building and operating reliable and scalable backend systems as part of a cross-functional team
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in designing the backend services and architecture of the brokerage API platform
- Take ownership of features and services end to end in cross-functional teams
- Ensure features and services run smoothly on production
- Focus on areas of the Customer Lifecycle, Investing or Banking processes
- Ensure Core Platform & Systems around it are reliable & scalable
- Have a significant impact on the development of the core Platform & Systems and architectural decisions
- Work alongside a cross-functional team of experts to build investment infrastructure
