Job Details

Proven solid experience using the Playwright (JS/TS) testing framework
Able to build, structure and maintain automated tests and their supporting frameworks from the ground up
Contribute to existing frameworks and meet internal standards
Proven solid experience in testing APIs and back-end services
Experience of Postman or an equivalent toolset
Can build supporting automated test suites for APIs
Understand what good looks like in QA and communicate approaches to Engineering
Understand and be able to identify Acceptance Criteria with Product Owners and teams
Able to elicit test conditions, scenarios and supporting test data from Acceptance Criteria
Solid understanding and experience of functional and non-functional testing approaches
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and DevOps tools and best practices
Experience with basic development tools like Git and Azure DevOps
Experience writing basic SQL queries
Drive to continuously improve quality through 'shift left' practices within Squad & QA automation practices

Work closely with the QA Lead to improve and deliver the Test Strategy
Drive efforts to build up robust automation test frameworks and quality gate criteria
Help to guide on best practice and approach for QA
Identify defects and work alongside Software Engineers whilst they are writing solutions
Ensure automated testing solutions are kept up to date in real time with coding efforts
Help identify and deliver required test coverage across the platform
Define and agree Engineering Quality Gates
Ensure Software Engineers are building in quality at the earliest possible stage (shift left)
Act as principal gate-keeper for Quality Assurance throughout environmental promotion of releases
Support a wider scope beyond your Squad if asked
