Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a strategic or consultative sales role with proven quota attainment
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
  • Strong experience selling software or SaaS solutions, ideally into higher education or public sector environments
  • Demonstrated success in US market sales with experience navigating complex B2B or institutional sales cycles
  • Understanding of grant management, budgeting, or procurement workflows is highly preferred
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from operational users to C-level executives
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong time management and CRM discipline
  • Willingness to travel within North America (20–30%), including occasional overnight and weekend travel

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets across higher education accounts
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, including outreach, networking, cold calling, email campaigns, and monitoring RFP opportunities
  • Develop a deep understanding of prospective institutions, their needs, and decision-making structures to tailor value-based solutions
  • Conduct and coordinate customized product demonstrations in collaboration with internal teams to showcase platform capabilities
  • Position and communicate the value of SaaS solutions, effectively differentiating offerings and aligning them with customer challenges
  • Manage full sales cycles including negotiation, objection handling, pricing discussions, and contract closure
  • Lead RFP responses by coordinating with internal stakeholders and ensuring timely, high-quality submissions
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure disciplined pipeline management and forecasting
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leaders and influencers in higher education institutions
