Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience building APIs using modern backend technologies
- Ability to communicate complex technical problems clearly to both technical and non-technical partners
- Track record of delivering high-quality software projects
- Enthusiasm and interest in building systems using AI and large language models
- Experience with a modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, etc.)
- Experience building systems with AI/LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
- Experience with server-side technology including Python and MySQL
- Experience deploying systems on AWS or other cloud providers
- DevOps/observability experience or strong interest in learning
- Knowledge of US healthcare industry and health tech
Responsibilities
- Ship your first AI-powered feature improvement to production
- Partner with Product and UX to scope and design at least one new capability
- Get familiar with our stack (Python, MySQL, React, AWS) and AI integration patterns
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team
- Own significant features end-to-end, from design through deployment
- Help shape technical direction for AI-native product experiences
- Mentor other engineers and collaborate to improve team practices
- Build strong partnerships with support and infrastructure to help triage bugs and quickly resolve production issues
