Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of QA experience in software implementation projects
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Prior experience working on projects in the insurance industry (property & casualty, life, health, etc.)
- Experience with testing tools like JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM, or similar
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Ability to write basic SQL queries for data validation
- Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to understand functional and technical requirements
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for insurance software systems
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across web and backend systems
- Validate system workflows related to insurance operations (e.g., policy administration, claims processing, underwriting, billing)
- Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Assist in the creation of test data and environments simulating insurance scenarios
- Provide QA support during production deployments and post-release validation
