Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Azure and AWS environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related discipline or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in deploying and managing cloud-based solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
- Expertise in administering both Windows and Linux server operating systems.
- Robust understanding of computers, networks, servers, storage, and databases.
- Experience in server architecture and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Capable of developing solutions and documenting various technical issues.
- Proficient with technologies such as Active Directory, WSUS, VMware.
- Prior experience in systems and networking administration beyond basic account maintenance.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform/HCL) for task automation and custom script development.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Microsoft Azure certification(s).
- Knowledge of SIOP Rapid Response.
Responsibilities
- Provide services for infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, and general IT support for the Enterprise Services SIOP application suite.
- Participate in support, planning, definition of best practices, and collaborative meetings.
- Provision, install/configure, operate, and maintain systems hardware and software related to a Windows/Linux infrastructure in Azure & AWS.
- Manage servers, storage (logical and physical), cross platform authentication, and access management.
- Handle software and license configuration.
- Work with a small team on cloud projects and system support.
- Deliver practical solutions to complex problems.
- Design and support new and existing cloud applications infrastructure.
- Oversee cloud operations and design infrastructure for new workloads.
- Continuously improve and mature cloud services.
- Provide IT systems administration in RedHat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environments.
- Work in both cloud (Azure & AWS) and on-prem environments.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including best practices, procedures, and policies.
- Work effectively in a geographically distributed team environment.
- Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Work independently with users to define concepts.
- Occasionally work beyond standard hours for 24x7 system operations.
