Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of carrier / vendor marketing experience within the employee benefits industry is required.
- Insurance industry background and knowledge of group products is required.
- Must continue to meet continuing education requirements for CA Department of insurance license renewal.
- CA Department of Insurance Life License (required or completed within 3 months of start date).
- Efficient at multi-tasking and flexibility to deal with ever-changing priorities and deadlines.
- Effective negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication: written, public speaking and presentation preparation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to screen details and identify potential discrepancies.
- Exceptional customer service skills, diplomacy, professionalism, and tact.
- Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and advanced complexities of features.
- Ability to be resourceful, take initiative, solve problems, create solutions, and manage process improvements.
- Thrives at working with others in a fast-paced environment and is responsive to co-workers and colleagues.
- Adaptability and flexibility to proactively anticipate and address issues and client needs.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to navigate demanding schedules, priorities, and volumes.

Responsibilities
- Partner with sales and service teams to understand the client’s goals leading into the RFP process.
- Complete the carrier/vendor marketing process from conception to completion for clients of all sizes with varying lines of coverage and funding types.
- Be engaged and aware of the latest product offered by carriers.
- Organize client census, plan design information and other data to send to carriers.
- Review carrier proposals for accuracy and completeness.
- Summarize RFP responses into a client ready presentation.
- Work with General Agent (GA) partners for small group marketing process outsourcing.
- Other tasks, duties, or specialist projects as assigned.
